JOAN M. (AUGUSTA) SCHOFIELD, 71, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Elmhurst Extended Care. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Margaret (Breeding) Augusta.
Joan had worked as a Proof Operator at Citizens Bank before retiring.
She is survived by her son, D. Jayson Schofield and his wife Melissa; a brother, Charles Augusta; and a sister, Jean Xavier.
Her funeral will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 103 Pine St., Pawtucket. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITATION SUNDAY 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
