Louis "Luigi" A. Carchia, 64, of Providence, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 while vacationing in Italy. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni R. Carchia, Sr. and the late Anna M. (Giorgi) Carchia.
Louis had worked at Rhode Island College for 23 years, before retiring.
He is survived by five brothers, John R. Carchia, Jr., Anthony, Joseph, Thomas and Michael Carchia; two sisters, Rita Lepore and Vivian Carchia; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, October 26th at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Hawkins St., Providence. Visitation Respectfully Omitted. Burial will be Private.
