Louis Montecalvo

LOUIS MONTECALVO, 88, of Providence, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Elmhurst Extended Care. He was the beloved and caring husband of Anna (Costantino) Montecalvo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Cursi) Montecalvo.
Louis was a highly decorated World War II Army Veteran, receiving a Purple Heart for his service to his Country in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He worked in a supervisory capacity in the Jewelry Industry. He was an avid fisherman and gardener.
Besides his wife of sixty years, he leaves two daughters, Lu Ann Bolduc and her husband, Michael and Lisa Bourret and her husband, Paul; two granddaughters, Kelly and Katie Bolduc; a sister, Cristina Laskey and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marie Montecalvo, Carmela Mercurio, Vera Iacono, Vincent Montecalvo, Costantino “Gus” Montecalvo, Anthony Montecalvo and Theresa Ferrazzano.
His funeral and burial will be private. Donations in his memory may be made to Elmhurst Extended Care, 50 Maude St., Providence, RI 02908 or to Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
