MATTHEW J. KELLY, 57, of North Providence, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. Born in Providence, he was the son of Helen (Horsfield) Kelly and the late James Kelly.
Matt worked as an electrician at Amtrak for the last 27 years.
Besides his mother he leaves a son, Michael Kelly; two sisters, Leslie Pratt and her husband Stephen and Ellen Kelly Kerzer and sister-in-law, Amy Kelly. He is also survived by his companion, Karen Lomax. He was the brother of the late Mark, Sean and Nancy Kelly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial will be private. Visitation Respectfully Omitted. Donations in Matt’s Memory may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
