Adeline Tafuri

Adeline Tafuri (Petrasso), 96, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Heritage Hills Nursing Center in Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Tafuri. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Botelho) Petrasso. Adeline was a foot press operator for several local jewelry manufacturers. She loved to sew, knit, cook, and was an avid bowler and bocce player. She is survived by her son, John L. Tafuri; a daughter, Linda Huling; four grandchildren, Alisha Scarpaci, Marissa Tafuri, Jonathan Tafuri and Derek Huling, and a great-grandson, Daniel Scarpaci. She had eight brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 8-9:15 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adeline's memory may be made to the Brightfocus Foundation, 22512 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871.
