COLANNINO, ALBERT C., Sr., 92, a Pawtucket resident since 1940, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday, August 15, 2006. He was the loving husband of Anna (Vito) Colannino for 66 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Costanzo and Anna (Zelano) Colannino.
Albert had been a fabricator and foreman for Leesona Corp in Warwick. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bouffard Council. He was also a sexton at St. Maria Goretti Church for 50 years as well as a Eucharistic minister. He was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Albert C. Colannino Jr. and his wife Connie; a daughter, Elaine M. Economou and her husband Charles; four grandchildren, Mark Economou and his wife Bridget, Leanne Bucacci and her husband Tom, Laura and Ashley Colannino and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John, Angelo and Vincent Colaninno and Rose Mauriello.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
