DiNITTO, ALBERT, SR., 75, passed away, Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Rose (Marrocco) DiNitto.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Civita (D’Antonio) DiNitto.
Albert had worked as a code enforcer for the City of Providence for fifteen years. He had previously worked as a spray painter at Quonset Point Naval Air Station. He had also been a professional drummer. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. His memberships included the San Biagio Society, Knights of Columbus, Rosario Society, VFW Post 10011 of North Providence and Laborers Union Local 1033.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Albert DiNitto, Jr and Richard J. DiNitto and his wife Joanne DiNitto; two daughters, Donna M. DeFreitas-Rodriguez and her husband Jay Rodriguez and Debra A. DiNitto; a brother, Amelio “Emo” DiNitto; two sisters, Rose DiNitto and Anna D’Elia; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Anthony DiNitto.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Ann Church, Hawkins St., Providence. VISITATION Sunday 4-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
