Albert Franklin Williamson

Albert F. Williamson, Jr., 72, of Smithfield, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at home. He was the beloved husband of Lisa (Silva) Williamson. Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of the late Albert and Melissa (Hinnant) Williamson.

Albert served 22 years in the Navy, and upon retirement, he worked as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping, NASCAR and spending time with his dog and best buddy, Levi.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Albert F. Williamson III and Christopher Williamson; his sisters, Yvonne Barkdoll and her husband Vaughn, and Shirley Huffman and her husband Charles; his father-in-law John Silva and mother-in-law Joanne Silva; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Hindley and her husband Mark; two grandchildren, Riley and Travis Williamson, and his nieces and nephews, John Hindley, Lauren Hindley, Autumn Hernandez, Vaughn Barkdoll, April Kelly, Rebecca Williamson, Josh Williamson, Jason Huffman and Doug Huffman. He was the father of the late James Williamson and brother of the late Thomas Williamson.

His funeral and burial will be private.
