Alessandra Carmela Sivo (Bonetti), 89, of Providence, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Elmhurst Extended Care. She was the beloved wife of Savino “Sal” Sivo for 68 years. A lifelong resident of Providence, she was the daughter of the late Potito and Carmela (Checchia) Bonetti.
Mrs. Sivo had worked for Jewel Case before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling and gardening.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Carl S. Sivo and his wife Sandra; her daughter, Frances C. Paolantonio; two brothers, George and Edward Bonetti; two sisters, Alice Bianco and Anna Hughes; four grandchildren, Lisa Wright, Michelle Stetler, Gina Cozza and Joy Bianco and her nine great grandchildren, Casey and Taylor Hanrahan, Gabrielle, Isabella, Alexandra and Madison Bianco, Thomas Wright and Grace and Michael Stetler. She was the sister of the late Joseph Bonetti, Antonio “Jimmy” Bonetti and Leonard “Pat” Bonetti.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Wednesday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
