ALFRED A. HALL, 88, of Providence, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006, at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Carmella (Carcieri) Hall. A lifelong resident of Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Rosilda (Breard) Hall.
Alfred had worked as an Insurance Representative for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 34 years. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, a Boy Scout Leader with Troop 23 of Providence and a longtime member of the Mt. Pleasant Senior Citizens. He enjoyed golf and bowling with friends and was an avid square dancer.
Besides his wife of 64 years, he leaves two sons, Alfred A. Hall, Jr. and his wife Barbara and Robert W. Hall and his wife Maria; a sister, Lillian McWilliams; four grandchildren, Robert W. Hall II and his wife Jennifer, Christopher A., Angela M. and Marc A. Hall and a great granddaughter, Lindsey M. Hall. He was the brother of the late Francis Hall, Henry “Buddy” Hall and Irene Habershaw.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Thursday 5-8pm. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
