Alfred F. Belluche

July 17, 1934 — April 10, 2020

Alfred F. Belluche, 85, of North Providence, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre.  Born in Greenwich, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Alfred F. Belluche Sr. and Cornelia (O'Leary) Belluche.  Al married the love of his life, Rose Anne (Brady) Belluche in 1965 and was married for 41 years until her passing in 2007.  Together they raised two boys, Al and Jim.   Al worked as a Social Worker for the State of Rhode Island for 38 years, retiring in 1998.  He graduated from LaSalle Academy and earned his bachelor's degree from Providence College in 1960.  Al served on Active Duty in the Army in Germany and then in the US Army Reserves.  Al always supported the community.  He was a devoted member of St. Augustine's parish.  Some of his activities included coaching Little League, serving as a Cub Scout den leader and serving as a Boy Scout committee member.  He always set a positive example of service for his sons.  He made a point to support all his kids' extracurricular activities.  Al enjoyed watching sports, especially Providence College Basketball, the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Celtics.  He also was accomplished in Karate.  Another favorite activity was gardening with his wife.   A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he is survived by his two sons, Alfred S. Belluche and his wife Kate and Jim H. Belluche and his wife Betty; a brother, Robert Belluche; a sister, Anne Cronin; and three grandchildren, Joshua, Nate and Will.
