Alice Messore (D’Amico), 88, of Providence, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ralph Messore. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Americo and Maria Clara (Macchio) D’Amico.
Besides her husband of 58 years, she leaves two daughters, Donna Ferrara and Linda Hopper and her husband Dennis; a brother, Americo "Rico" D’Amico and his wife, Angela; a sister, Anna D’Amico, five grandchildren, Michael and Cynthia Gowett, Kelli Ferrara, Jason and Emily Hopper, a sister-in-law, Catherine DeRobbio and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louis D’Amico and Anita Miner.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence. Visitation Monday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Donations in her memory may be made to Blessed Sacrament School, 240 Regent Ave., Providence, RI 02908.
