Allyssa Rose Shadd, known as “Ally” to her friends, passed away unexpectedly on August 9,
2022. She was only 34 years old. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Allyssa
was born on September 5, 1987, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. She was the loving daughter of
Monique Bourque and Garrett Shadd.
Allyssa was a beautiful person with piercing green eyes, and a smile that lit up a room. She was
a gentle, caring and selfless person who set an example of kindness and compassion. Allyssa
was a natural athlete who loved kickboxing, tennis, and especially excelled in gymnastics and
dance.
Allyssa’s greatest joy was spending time with her daughter Skyllar, swimming at the lake, ice
skating, bike riding, and working on art projects.
She will be missed more than words can say, and forever remembered. In addition to her
parents, she is survived by her cherished daughter, Skyllar Rose Shadd; siblings Ashlley and
Kyle Shadd; maternal grandmother, Claudette Bourque; maternal grandfather, Ernest Bourque
and his wife, Rosalie; paternal grandfather, Howard Shadd. She was the granddaughter of the
late Betty “Mama” Shadd. Allyssa was loved by so many aunts, uncles, cousins and special
friends including the Styborski family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 20,
2022, at 11 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, West St.,Gardner, Ma., Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11am. Visitation is respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to her
