Angelo M. Fandetti, 88, of Cranston, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Elmhurst Extended Care in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Viola E. (Cennamo) Fandetti. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Carmella (Benevento) Fandetti.
Angelo had worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service in Providence for over 20 years until his retirement. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a lifetime member of the American Legion and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He leaves his devoted brother, Gennaro Fandetti and his wife Lucille; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Carmella, Nicholas, Michael and Rosemarie Fandetti.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Mark Church, Garden City, Cranston. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
