Angelyn M. Masiello, 64 of Smithfield, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Mount St. Rita Health Centre in Cumberland, surrounded by her loving family, friends and clergy. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna “Anne” (Guidotti) Masiello. She was a communicant of St. Philip Church, Greenville.
Angelyn was employed at Citizens Bank for 40 years and most recently held the role of Sr. Business Support Manager and Vice President within the Human Resources group. She was valedictorian of St. Mary’s Academy of Visitation in 1978 and graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelor’s Degree (1982) and Master’s Degree (1984) in Psychology.
She enjoyed listening to music, bowling, traveling to Italy, trips in the RV and spending quality time with family and friends. In addition, she also was a member of the board of Girls Scouts of America in Rhode Island. She was a loyal fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Angelyn’s sincerity, faith and love for family will be remembered always.
She is survived by a sister, Karla M. Van Dale and her husband Bruce, one nephew, Steven M. Allard and his wife Dianne, five grand nieces and nephews, Steven M. Allard, Jr., Joshua T. Allard, Megan C. Allard, Kelci L. Walther and Quin R. Stoddard. Angelyn was the sister of the late Donna M. Allard and her husband Benjamin.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 3 – 7 pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelyn’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
