Ann V. DiRissio, 86, of North Scituate, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. DiRissio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Eleuterio and Virginia (Ursillo) Forti.
Mrs. DiRissio was the owner of A.D. Properties and worked in the Special Education Department of Rhode Island College for many years before retiring. In her retirement, Ann enjoyed yoga and swimming as well as periodic kayaking. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed long walks and jogs in the scenic surroundings of her home. She was a great cook and baker and was always enthusiastic about preparing delicious meals and desserts for her family. In her constant quest to master new challenges, she earned her B.A. from Rhode Island College and in her later years, she was intent on learning how to speak Italian and studied the language daily.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she is survived by hercherished children, Edward J. DiRissio and his wife Beatriz and Pamela Pino and her husband Tom; her four treasured grandchildren, Alesondra Gingras and her husband Kenny, Jordin Pino and her partner Jared Thompson, Talia Lynch and her husband Kyle and Giuliano DiRissio; and her two adored great-grandchildren, Emilia and Ciana. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Forte and Catherine Montecalvo and was the sister of the late Frank, Felipe and Larry Forti, Claire Muscente and Angela Caliri.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 9 am from the MaceroniFuneral Home, 1381 Smith St. North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Entombment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston and private. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 5 - 7 pm.
