DeSESSA, ANNA (CANZANO), 85, Of Enfield Ave, passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Anthony DeSessa for 61 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Filomena (Zoglio) Canzano.
Anna was the proprietor of Belfast Soldering and Tony’s Market. Her main interests were her family and her dog Sasha.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children Christopher DeSessa, Elaine DeFusco, Donna Solomon and her husband Sal. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughters Gina and Jennifer DeFusco and Lindsey and Tiffany Solomon. She also leaves two sisters, Lillian Santopietro and Virginia Biscelli. She was the sister of the late Tony Canzano and Clara Procaccini.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave. VISITATION Tuesday 5-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Philip School, 618 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI 02828.
