Anna Mancini “Auntie Anna”, 92, of Cranston, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Catherine (Ramieri) Mancini.
Anna had worked for Whelsh’s Optical, Cranston for 40 years before retiring.
She is survived by her dear sister, Lena D’Amore; and her many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Adolph Mancini, Theresa DeCosta, Mary Swallow and Angelina LaBella.
Visitation Thursday morning from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914.
