Anthony D. LaTorre, Jr, 70, of Johnston, Rhode Island passed into eternity while embraced in the loving arms of his wife on October 20, 2024.
For 44 years, he was the beloved husband of Debra LaTorre (Pescosolido). He was the father of Nicole (LaTorre) Serpa and the proud father-in-law of William Serpa of Johnston. Anthony had two grandchildren he loved with all his heart, Isabella (Bella) and Nolan Serpa.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony Domenic LaTorre, Sr. and Louise (Moratto) LaTorre. He is survived by his siblings Peter LaTorre and his wife (Peggi), Cheryl Currier and her husband (Jeff), Donna Manocchio and his brother Paul and his wife (Joy); son in law of Edna and William Ciccone and the late Philip Pescosolido.
He was the brother-in-law of Susan Florio and her husband and his lifelong friend James, Dianne Arzoomanian and her husband John, and Lisa D’Acchioli and her husband Michael. He was the uncle to many nieces and nephews and the godfather of James Florio, Jr and Paul LaTorre, Jr. and Jaclyn DeCesare (LaTorre).
Throughout his life, he was employed at Kesterman Brothers Manufacturing, Dave’s Catering and later retired from the Providence Water Department after 25 years of service.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 from 9:00 a.m - 11:00 a..m in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, Rhode Island, followed by a Chapel Service at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony's memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, 1 Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
