Anthony “Tony” Manzo, 94, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Judith (Buccelli) Manzo for over 57 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Phillip and Mary (Ciampanelli) Manzo.
Tony was an accomplished horse trainer for 65 years, before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a loving and devoted, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Kathy Seymour, Lisa Case and her husband, Mark Cook, Diane Manzo and Phillip Manzo and his wife, Joseline; son-in-law, Donald Case; brother, Nicholas Manzo; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Michael and Jason Seymour, Amanda and Katelyn Case, Nicole and Kristen Palladini; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Matarese and Joseph Manzo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 4 – 7 p.m. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave, Providence. Burial will be private.
