Anthony "Teddy" DeSessa

ANTHONY “Teddy” DeSESSA, 88, of Providence, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007, surrounded by his loving family, at Elmhurst Extended Care. He was the husband of the late Anna (Canzano) DeSessa. They had been married for 61 years. A lifelong resident of Providence, he was the son of the late Christy and Irene (Malzone) DeSessa.

Anthony was the proprietor of Radio Fruit and Produce and Tony’s Variety of Providence and was also employed by Providence College. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather. His main interest was his family.

He is survived by his son, Christopher DeSessa and two daughters, Elaine DeFusco and Donna Solomon and her husband Sal. He will be greatly missed by his four granddaughters, Gina and Jennifer DeFusco and Lindsey and Tiffany Solomon.

VISITATION Tuesday morning from 8am to10am, at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to St. Philip School, 618 Putnam Ave., Smithfield, RI 02828.
