ANTHONY J. “TONY” LANGELLA, SR., 80, of Warwick, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at Kent County Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Irene (DeIorio) Langella. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Camillo and Luisa (DiFusco) Langella.
Tony was the owner and operator of the former Anthony’s Service Center in Providence. He was a devoted husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 58 years, he leaves a son, Anthony “Tony” J. Langella, Jr.; a daughter, Irene D. Villella; four brothers, Vincent, Albert, Nicky and Tommy Langella; a sister, Beverly Bell; two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Josephine Paolino.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:45am from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. William Church, Pettaponsett Ave., Warwick. VISITATION Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Foundation of RI, 1117 Douglas Ave., North Providence, RI. 02904.
