Antonetta C. Bomba (Improta), 78, of North Providence, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife of Anthony C. Bomba. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Diomira (Mastriani) Improta.
Antonetta had been an inspector for Langs Jewelry of Cranston and was an avid bingo player. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her husband of 53 years, she leaves a son, Anthony Bomba, Jr.; two daughters, Catherine Veilleux and Theresa Bomba; a sister, Levia Simmons and four grandchildren, Jessica Veilleux, Matthew Veilleux, Anthony C. Bomba III and Jordan A. Bomba. She was the grandmother of the late Stephen A. Veilleux, Jr. and the sister of the late Guido, Mario, Nicola, Josephine, Claire and Carmela Improta.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visitation Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.
