Antonio A. Conte, 92, of Providence, passed away at home on Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Lisetta F. (Fabbris) Conte for 70 years. Born in Teano, Caserta, Italy, he was the son of the late Alfredo "Samuele" Conte and Carolina (Spaziano) Conte. Prior to coming to the United States, Mr. Conte proudly and honorably served 10 years as an officer in the Italian Carabinieri. He was employed by Durastone Corporation for 30 years before his retirement, and he was a member of Local 315 of the Laborer's International Union of North America (LIUNA). In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children, Carmen Conte-Parente and her husband Salvatore, AnnaMaria Conte-Cannavaro and her husband Joseph, Alfredo T. Conte and his wife Maria, Erminio A. Conte and his wife Frances, and Samuele C. Conte and his wife Karen; and twelve grandchildren, Vincenzo S. and Vanessa C. Parente, Cassandra M. and Antonio E. Conte, Antonio P. and Pietro A. Conte, Antonio J. and Lisetta V. Cannavaro, and Nicholas S., Bailey A., Samuele C. and Benjamin P. Conte. He was predeceased by four siblings. Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, July 11, 2018 from 8 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
