Assunta “Susie” La Fauci (Vitullo), 101, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008 at Briarcliffe Manor. She was the wife of the late Roger LaFauci. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michelangelo and Maria (Galuppo) Vitullo. She had been a resident of Providence most of her life before moving to North Providence.
She was a jewelry worker for many years before retiring from the former Briers Manufacturing Company of Providence.
Susie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She leaves a son, Roger LaFauci, Jr.; a daughter, Diana J. Colardo; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kenneth J. LaFauci and the sister of the late Nicolo and Louis Vitullo, Etta Macarusso, Elvira Conway and Carmella Comella.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.
