Brian Ethan Brandt, 52, perished tragically on January 2, 2024, in a fire at his apartment in Cambridge, MA. He was born on November 27, 1971 in Providence, RI, to Bruce Brandt and Pamela (Petrucci-Brandt) Scanlan.
Brian graduated from Johnston High School in 1990, after attending 3 years at LaSalle Academy in Providence. He went on to earn a BS of Psychology from Boston University in 2007 and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Prior to completing his degree at BU, he attended Rhode Island College with a focus in French and Anthropology studies. Brian is fluent in 4 languages and won The Franco- American Heritage Award in his senior year of high school for the state of R.I. and was honored at the State Capital for this accomplishment.
Brian started his career in banking and pursued other career options and became an accomplished Resume writer, Content Writer, Ghost Columnist, Topical Researcher, Fact Checker, Published author, and Recruiter and went on to start his own business called VenatiQuest in 2013 till he passed. He developed a website called Brianwrites.net as well as My Resume/Brian Writes. He was published in many articles for his expertise in his business. He was also a past member of The Writers Guild. Brian participated in a 2 year Theatrical Program at the Providence Performing Arts Center. He volunteered in many community programs and projects in his adult life. He was a member of Crime Watch when living in Providence.
Brian is preceded in death by his Grandparents Louis and Lola Petrucci. He is survived by his mother Pamela L. Scanlan and step father Robert T.Scanlan Sr. of Grand Prairie,TX. A brother Peter L. Brandt (wife Kimberly) and niece Abigail, of Fort Meyers, FL. Other immediate family members include his Uncle Louis R. Petrucci (wife Mary) of North Scituate, RI and cousin Holly Bell (husband David) of Coventry, RI.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial for Brian will be held on April 6, 2024 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, Cranston, RI. Mass is private and by invitation only.
