Carmella E. Grossi (D’Alessio), 80, of Johnston, formerly of North Providence, passed away Thursday July 9, 2009 at Morgan Health Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Grossi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion D’Alessio.
She leaves four sons, Philip T. Grossi, Jr., Richard A. Grossi, Joseph W. Grossi and John P. Grossi and his wife Barbara; two brothers, Joseph and Raymond D’Alessio; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Janice DiCostanzo and the sister of the late Dante D’Alessio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Woonasquatucket Ave., North Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to American Diabetes Association, 222 Richmond St., Providence, RI 02903.
