Carmella E. Hall (Carcieri) 89, of Providence, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2009. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred A, Hall, Sr. for 64 years. A life-long resident of Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Teresa (Mancini) Carcieri.
Carmella was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1938. She was employed as bookkeeper for several banks and for non-profit organizations. She worked for many years for the Arthritis Foundation and also for the Lupus Foundation of America.
She leaves two sons, Alfred A. Hall, Jr. and his wife Barbara (Ladouceur) of Cranston, RI and Robert W. Hall and his wife Maria (Corrente) of Mendon, MA; four grandchildren, Robert and his wife Jennifer (Agresto), Christopher, Angela and Marc Hall; and three great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Alexander and Rebecca Hall. She was the sister of the late Albert Carcieri, Alice Carcieri, Anna Harpin, Marguerite Carcieri, Eleanor Soscia and Elda Vicario.
Her funeral will be held Friday, January 16th at 9 a.m., from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue., Providence, RI. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston, RI.
