GORTON, CARMELLA M. “CONNIE’ (DeCHRISTOFARO), 80, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the wife of William Gorton. A lifelong resident of North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Carmina (Cambio) DeChristofaro.
Connie had been a jewelry worker at the former Bar-Tan Manufacturing of Providence for over 20 years.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter Cheryl Vincent and her husband John Vincent She was the sister of the late Angelo DeChristofaro, Jr., Joseph DeChristofaro, Constantino “Chris” DeChristofaro, Margaret DeChristofaro, Jenny DeChristofaro and Virginia Turcotte.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Thomas Church, Fruit Hill Ave., Providence. VISITATION Monday 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
