Carmine Zarli, 86, of Johnston, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of the late Dora (Gelsomino) Zarli. Born in San Vittore, Provence of Lazio, Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Pasqua Rosa (Forte) Zarli. Carmine emigrated to the United States in 1962 with his new bride, Dora. He worked as a carpenter for many years at Modern Building Company. He loved his family and was happiest in his garden where he grew numerous fruits and vegetables. He is survived by his sons, Michael Zarli and David Zarli; his daughter, Rita Zarli and her husband Paul Smith, and a grandson, Matthew Breton. He was pre-deceased by four brothers and three sisters. Visiting hours will be Friday, January 31, 2020 from 8:30-10:30 AM followed by a Service at 10:30 AM in Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmine's memory may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919.
