Carolyn A. Cordeiro

Carolyn A. Cordeiro, 78, of Cranston, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard Cordeiro. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Guerino "Guido" and Rose (Adessi) Gasbarro.

Carolyn was a graduate of Providence College. She worked as a Registered Nurse at RI Hospital for several years. She was also an auditor at Blue Cross for many years. A person of strong faith, she loved praying the rosary, ballroom dancing and caring for her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Manzo, MD and her spouse Vark Markarian; her sons, Vincent Castaldi and his spouse Joao Filho, and David Castaldi; stepsons, Joseph Cordeiro and his spouse Roberta, Rick Cordeiro and his spouse Donna and Scott Cordeiro and his spouse Francine; a brother, Robert Gasbarro and his spouse Linda; a sister, Elizabeth Gasbarro; two grandchildren, Alexandra Manzo and Marisa Borino and her spouse Nick, and four great-grandchildren, Michael, Mila, Aria and Avery.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Mark Church, 9 Garden Crt, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Donations in Carolyn's memory may be made to the Parkinson Disease Association, RI Chapter, P.O.
