Christopher DeSessa, 74, of Providence, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Anthony "Teddy" DeSessa and Anna (Canzano) DeSessa.
Chris was an Associate Professor of Travel and Tourism at Johnston & Wales Hospitality College for many years before retiring.
He is survived by his two sisters, Elaine DeFusco and Donna Solomon and her husband, Sal; his nieces and nephews, Gina, Paul, Jennifer, Mike, Lindsey, Kyle, Tiffany and Nick; and his great nieces and great nephews, Valentina, Annina, Oliver, Greyson and Sofia. Chris is also survived by his feline companions, Blossom and Filomena.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 12 p.m. in St. George Maronite Catholic Chruch, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston. Due to limited seating because of Covid restrictions, the Mass will be lived streamed at

for anyone that wishes to join from afar. Burial will be private and visitation is respectfully omitted.
