It is with profound sadness that the Molica and Gemma Families announce the passing of their beloved husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Christopher J. Molica
Our overwhelming grief at this time is overshadowed only by the extreme outpouring of support that we have received since Chris’s testicular cancer diagnosis on July 7th of this year. Chris was an amazing and selfless human being who always looked after everyone he loved with the deepest care. As a competitive endurance athlete, he completed two marathons and multiple triathlons. His tenacity and willpower to push through any obstacle continued throughout his cancer treatments and until his last breath. He will always be remembered for his kindness, his strength, and his ability to inspire others to strive to be the best versions of themselves.
Chris was an active participant in many GGBCRF events since the Foundation’s formation in 2004. Most recently, he courageously completed this year’s 5K race. Indeed, his love for his grandmother, Gloria, was deep and wonderfully expressed both during her lifetime and after.
There will be a private celebration of life for immediate family and a general celebration of life for his larger community of family, friends, and colleagues at a time in the near future.
May all reading this announcement know that we will be forever thankful for your prayers, kindnesses, and expressions of compassion. Please be assured that we were, and remain, sustained by your loving thoughtfulness.
Donations in Chris’ name may be made to the Foundation via this link:
