Concetta Folcarelli

CONCETTA “CONNIE” FOLCARELLI(DiORIO), 81, of North Providence, passed away Friday, February 16, 2007 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of Ernest Folcarelli. They were married 54 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Palmina (Sbardella) DiOrio.

Connie lived in Providence throughout her youth and married life until 1972 when her family moved to North Providence. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her tireless devotion to all who were close to her.

Besides her loving and devoted husband, she leaves her daughter, Janet and her husband, Mario Izzo, Jr. of Narragansett; her son, Ernest A. Folcarelli and his wife Suzanne, of Smithfield and her beloved grandchildren, Ernest W. and Christina Folcarelli. She was the sister of Catherine Accetturo, David, Edward and Ronald Di Orio and Alfred DiOrio, Jr.and the late Richard, Luigi and Catherine DiOrio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, many cousins and a long list of close and dear friends.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Anthony Church, Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. VISITATION Tuesday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
