Cora G. Lonardo, 100, of Providence, passed away on her 100th birthday peacefully at home on Friday, May 31, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Lawrence “Larry” Lonardo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Carolina (Gianfrancesco) Costantino.
Cora worked for Crownmark for many years before retiring. A true matriarch, she loved spending quality time with her family and served and loved God. She enjoyed singing, cooking, dancing, telling stories about her childhood, her brothers and sisters, and the love and memories she had with her husband Larry. Above all, she enjoyed making everyone happy. She was the true definition of unconditional love. She took immense pride in her family and Cora’s legacy will be that she was always there for everyone.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughter and best friend, Carol Ronzio and her husband Joseph; two grandsons, Robert Ronzio and Lt. Col. Joseph L. Ronzio, USAF; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Vincent, Bob, and Attilio Costantino, Mary Marrocco and Anna Montecalvo.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, June 5, 2024 from 10:30 – 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Cora’s Life at 12:00 p.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cora’s memory may be made to: Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
