Cora M. Piscopo (Calise), 91, of Cranston, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Carmine A, “Carl” Piscopo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Laura (Trofa) Calise.
Cora had been a Quality Control Inspector at the former General Electric Base Works Plant in Providence. She was a member of the Mother Cabrini Society.
She was a gentle, loving and caring person to all her family and friends and leaves a son, Carmine R. Piscopo; a daughter, Ann Marie Piscopo and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Peter and Ralph Calise, Edith Marinatto and Mary Napolitano.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Cranston St., Cranston. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorials to her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Tribute Program, P.O.
