Corinne V. Sormanti, 82, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at home. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arduino and Angelina (Simonelli) Sormanti. She was a recorder of deeds for the City of Providence until retiring in 1985.
Corinne was a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves a son, James Sormanti and his wife Diane; a daughter, Kathleen Sormanti and a granddaughter, Marina Sormanti. She was the sister of the late Dante, Gene, Walter and Ada Sormanti.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8am, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in St. Augustine Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visitation Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
