Dale H. Simonson

Dale H. Simonson, 89, of Johnston, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise E. (Centore) Simonson. Born in Port Angeles, Washington, he was the son of the late Henry and Donna (Barr) Simonson.

Dale worked in the Warranty Departments of Mercedes and BMW for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Manton Seniors.

He is survived by his four children, Kriss Seago, Ronald Simonson, Wayne Simonson, and Lori Parkhurst; a sister, Anna Baker; four nephews, Pat, Anthony, Gerald and Thomas Centore; two nieces, Dolores Burke and Catherine Boutin; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; ten great nieces and nephews and two great-great nephews. He was also the uncle of the late Timothy Centore.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Morning, June 1, 2022, from 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale’s memory may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church & Charitable Ministries, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston, RI 02919.
