David R. Valente

David R. Valente, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Gina E. (Rivera) Valente. Born in Providence, a son of the late Paul and Maria (Civita) Valente.

David was in quality assurance for the Department of Defense for 36 years. He also served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, David J. Valente and Thomas F. Valente, three grandchildren, Julianne Valente, Michael Valente and Stephanie Gleick, two great-grandchildren, Liana Valente and Adalyn Valente. He was the brother of the late Anne Lancellotti. 

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning, December 7, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a m.in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
