Dawn M. Carlevale, 71, of Providence, died on Saturday, February 10, 2018 following a recurring battle with lung cancer. She had been in remission for nine years. Born in Providence, she was predeceased by her parents, John Carlevale and Amelia (D'Arezzo) Carlevale-Martinelli and her brother Ronald Carlevale. She was the sister of John M. Carlevale, Sr. and the aunt of Veronica Roddy and John M. Carlevale, Jr.
Miss Carlevale had been employed as a nurse's aide and later worked as an assembler at Jewel Case Manufacturing during her youth and prior to her health-related disability. At the time of her death, she was a resident of Berkshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence. Dawn enjoyed being with and talking with people. She had a good sense of humor and enjoyed playful and funny conversations. When she was feeling well, her social awareness and attention to detail would prompt her to offer a compliment or help when she perceived a need. Visitation will be held Saturday Morning, February 17, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence.
