Dennis Natale, 50, of Smithfield, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was much beloved by his family and numerous friends. Born in Providence, he was the son of Saverino A. Natale of North Providence and the late Lillian (Darnbrough) Natale.
Dennis was the owner and operator of Natale’s Auto Service, Johnston for over 25 years. He enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles and was a member of the Sports Car Club of America.
Besides his father he is survived by a sister, Jane N. Gemma of South Kingstown; five brothers, Lawrence A. Natale of Lincoln, Thomas Natale of Las Vegas, Nevada, Gregory Natale of Scituate, John Natale of North Providence and Steven Natale of South Kingstown; six nephews, three nieces and four great-nephews.
Visitation Tuesday Morning 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Johnston. Dennis bravely battled colon cancer for six years and participated in national trials to help find a cure for this disease. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Dana Faber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115.
