Doris B. Finelli (Bahia), 84, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Guido P. Finelli. Born in New Bedford, MA she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Cordeiro) Bahia.
Doris had worked as a LSM Operator for the US Postal Service for 33 years before retiring at 79.
She is survived by her daughter, Frances Finelli and her husband, Thomas Renzi. She also leaves behind her two beloved care givers, her grandson, Leonard Cambra and his partner, MarkAaron Perry, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Paul and Frances Cambra. She was the sister of the late Francis J. Bahia. She also leaves behind her half siblings Joseph and Maria Bahia.
VISITATION will be Friday 4-8 pm at the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Her Funeral will be held Saturday at 8 a.m. from MACERONI'S with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Adalbert's Church, 886 Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Fruit Hill Adult Day Center, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI 02911.
