Doris F. Dellava, 81, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at HopeHealth Hullitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Daniel Vecchia. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfonse and Mary (Godlewski) D'Amico.
She was the head of security for Ann & Hope for over 25 years. She loved to cook and travel but was best known for being the family caretaker, especially to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Ernest Adamo and his wife Doreen; her daughters, Debora and her husband Joao Rego and Maryann Anania; two brothers, William and Vincent D'Amico; five grandchildren Manny (Punkin) and his wife Tina, Alfonse (Bun), Johnny, Dominica and Jenna; her great grandchildren, Deavana, Javeah, Jayvin, John, Jalissa, Mark and Layla, and one great- great grandchild Giabella and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Alfonse D'Amico.
Her funeral and burial will be private.
