Edith “Ida” Maceroni (Noviello), 95, of North Providence, passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the beloved wife of the late Armando Maceroni. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Felicia (Cristillo) Noviello.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for the former County Loan as well as Exchange Novelty, both of Providence. She attended Bryant and Stratton College.
Ida was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves a daughter, Anne La Fauci: a son, Bernard M. Maceroni and his wife Traci; a daughter-in-law, Tilda Maceroni; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert A. Maceroni and the sister of the late Albert and Domenic Noviello, Theresa Libertore, Angie Iascone, Etta Lorenzo, Vera Antonelli and Helen Laurenza.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9am, from the MACERONI Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. VISITATION Thursday, 4-7pm. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Scandinavian Home, 1811 Broad St., Cranston, RI 02905.
