Edna Jenkins

Edna A. (Randle) Jenkins, 90, passed away peacefully at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center on September 20th, 2024, with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Melvin R. Jenkins.

Born in North Providence, Edna was the daughter of Richard T. Randle and Mary E. (Phinney) Randle, and was the youngest of 10 children. She is survived by her daughter Jaye Francoeur, her granddaughter Delanna Francoeur, her brother C. William Randle, and many nieces and nephews.

Edna worked for many years as an office worker at the Mclean Trucking Company, until its closure. She continued to work part time at various jobs until she was 80 years old. She loved keeping busy by doing yard work, gardening, and completing many projects around her home. She also loved babysitting her granddaughter while she was growing up.

Edna will be remembered for her sense of humor, her hearty laughter and for her giving nature and kind heart. Donations in her memory may be made to HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904.
