Edward E Baglini (Ed), of North Providence, RI, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning May 1, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Born December 11, 1934 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Louis and Angelina (Santangelo) Baglini and brother of John and Robert Baglini as well as the late Antonetta (Sardelli), Joseph, and Paul Baglini. Ed was the husband of Joan Richards for 63 years. He was the father of two sons, Michael Baglini of Centreville, VA, and Thomas Baglini of Narragansett, RI. Michael is the husband to Barbara Brown and they have 3 children; Kelly, Kyle, and Renee. Thomas is the husband to Yvonne Nelson and they have 2 children; Rachel and Marc.
Ed was passionate about family, faith, and creative activities. He loved every minute he had with his best friend, his wife Joan. They created a wonderful life together and always found ways to laugh. Additionally, he loved the time spent with his sons and their families. He was always excited to speak or spend time with them.
He was an active member of the congregation of Saint Anthony Church in North Providence.
Ed always looked forward to projects. There was very little he could not do himself, and the quality of his work was extraordinary. He was an extremely talented man who had a continual drive to keep busy. Some of his accomplishments were: designing and building his summer house, remodeling his primary home in North Providence, and helping his sons build and update various portions of their homes. Ed loved the summers by the shore and winters in the mountains with family and friends. He enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, running and walking until his 80's. It was through these gifts of his talent and time that Ed left many memories for his family.
He was a very loving and generous husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
His family wishes to extend a special word of gratitude to the many caregivers and assistants who assisted Ed throughout his life. Because of their loving kindness, Ed was able to enjoy each day to the fullest, and for that we are eternally grateful.
