Edward Courville

Edward George Courville, 84, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Beverly (Coletti) Courville. Born in Swanton, VT, he was the son of the late George and Celeste (Campbell) Courville.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his son, Steven Edward Courville, and his daughter, Stephannie Marie Fugal, along with her husband Howard. He leaves behind four grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by his sister, the late Valerie Gabehart.

Edward proudly served as an Airman in the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command, dedicating six years of his life to his country from 1962 to 1968.

Following his service in the US Air Force, Edward's passion for aviation led him to attain his commercial pilot license, along with various professional aerobatic and instructor ratings and certifications. Ed later worked as a flight instructor at Skylanes flight school helping others pursue their dreams of flying.

In addition to his aviation endeavors, Edward made a mark in the limousine industry, owning and operating Excalibre Limousine for many years.

Beyond his professional achievements, Edward enjoyed playing card games such as cribbage, gin rummy, Uno, and was an expert Hi-Lo-Jack player.

Ed's quick wit and endearing sense of humor will be missed by all who loved him.

A Funeral Service in honor of Edward's life will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 10 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence. Following the service, a burial with Military Honors will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visiting hours are scheduled for Thursday, from 4 PM to 7 PM.
