Edward J. DiRissio, 79, of Scituate, passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 surrounded by his loving family at home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Forti) DiRissio. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Hamlet and Palmeida (Rebello) DiRissio.
Mr. DiRissio worked as a business agent and secretary – treasurer for the Laborer’s Union Local 271 before retiring. He had previously worked as an International Representative for LIUNA in the New England Area and was an instructor at the Pomfret Laborer’s Training Academy in Connecticut. He had also worked for M.A. Gammino Construction and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his wife of 52 years he leaves his devoted children, Edward J. DiRissio and his wife Beatriz and Pamela Pino and her husband Tom; and his four treasured grandchildren, Alesondra, Jordin and Talia Pino and Giuliano DiRissio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Corner of Danielson Pike and Route 116, North Scituate. Entombment will be private.
