Elena Fox

Elena Fox (DeFusco), 96, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Miriam Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late William Fox. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Caroline (Lisi) DeFusco.

She cooked lunch for the children at Central High School and Oliver Hazard Perry Middle School for many years. Her greatest joy came from caring and cooking for her family.

She is survived by her sons, William K. Fox and Kenneth M. Fox; a daughter, Patricia A. Petitpas, and two grandsons, Derek and Joshua Fox. She was the sister of the late Frank, Joseph and Raymond DeFusco, Amelia Bernardoni, Anna Loffredo and Jennie Venditelli.

Her funeral service will he held Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 9 AM from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elena's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
