Elizabeth C. Femino (Russo), 97, of North Providence, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at St. Antoine Residence. She was the beloved wife of Placido J. Femino, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Amelia (Ferrucci) Russo.
Elizabeth was a waitress at the former Lombardi's Restaurant and the Club 400. She also served as a head cook for the State of RI school lunch program before retiring in 1981. She was a devoted parishioner of Presentation of the BVM Church who served in numerous roles over 40 years. In addition, she volunteered as a Eucharistic minister at St. Joseph and Miriam Hospitals. She was the Secretary for the Santa Maria di Prata Society for many years.
Besides her husband of 75 years, she is survived by her sons, Placido Femino, Jr. and his wife Kelly, Michael Femino and his companion Deborah Imondi, and Leon Femino; her daughters, Virginia Giacobone and her husband Robert, Marianne Allen and her husband Terrence, and Rosalie Martin; a brother, Anthony Russo and his wife Evelyn, eight grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was the sister of the late Jennie Sclama, Susie DiMeo, Violet Izzo and Mary Placella.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 10-11 AM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St, North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth's memory may be made to the Residence at St. Antoine, 10 Rhodes Ave, North Smithfield, RI 02896. maceroni.com
